Recommend children to wear protective gear when playing

As the year approaches, many students begin their happy and short winter vacation life. Recently, the reporter learned from ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurosurgery and other departments of the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University that some children were too "indulgent" when playing, which led to injuries. Doctors suggested that parents should tell their children to play carefully and wear protective gear when necessary.
Nowadays, there are countless war films in TV dramas broadcasted by various TV stations, and the shots of heroes shooting each other with guns in the films attract children's eyes, which makes them feel so cool. Therefore, in the community and on the road, it is often worrying that some children are holding simple air guns to make gestures with each other. Xiaojun, who lives in Chebei, is an obedient child, but when he went out with his father, he met unexpected trouble, and was shot in the eye by a child who was playing with a simple air gun on the roadside. At that time, "tears kept flowing, and it was difficult to open his right eye, and a large area of white eye had been bleeding, and it seemed that there was red mist in front of him, so he could hardly see it", Xiaojun's father said. Xia Zhaoxia, Deputy Chief Physician, Director of Ophthalmology, Sixth Hospital of Zhongshan, after examining Xiaojun in detail, found that Xiaojun suffered from contusion in his right eye, and his eyesight decreased from 1.2 to 0.4. His cornea was edema, his pupil was traumatic and dilated, and his retina was concussion and edema. After 3 days of eye point and infusion treatment, the visual acuity recovered to 1.0.
According to Xia Zhaoxia, every year during the holiday, children were injured by air bullets, and several cases were received only after the holiday this year. Another injured girl Xiaohua was not so lucky. Air bullets not only caused iris contusion and pupil deformation, but also caused traumatic cataract and dislocation of lens, which required surgical treatment. She reminded that even if there is no bleeding and obvious vision loss after injury, parents should immediately bring their children to the hospital for detailed examination and reexamine them according to the doctor's requirements.
When reporters walk in the community, they often encounter "skateboarding parties" and "roller skating parties" whizzing by the roadside. Almost all of them are children around ten years old. They show some difficult movements wantonly in the wind, and some children fall down and get up and continue to play. The reporter learned from the Department of Orthopaedics of Zhongshan Sixth Hospital that there are not a few children who come to see a doctor because of fractures caused by skateboarding and roller skating. Professor Pan Tao, director of the Department of Orthopaedics, told the reporter that although skateboarding and roller skating can exercise the body, as the children's bones are not fully developed, accidents may lead to fractures. In addition, when skateboarding and roller skating, people's waist, knees and ankles need great strength to support their bodies, and these parts are also very vulnerable. He reminded parents that it is best to wear protective gear for their children and carry out activities in a safe place.
Zhan Haoqiang, deputy chief physician, director of neurosurgery department of Zhongshan Sixth Hospital, stressed that when children suffer from head trauma while playing, especially when their scalp is obviously swollen, they should be vigilant if they have symptoms such as headache, dizziness and sleepiness, instead of simply thinking that they are tired and sleepy. Seek medical attention as soon as possible if the symptoms are still not relieved after resting for more than half an hour.
